This aerial photograph shows the original Sandy Hook Laboratory campus (bottom center), located on Officer's Row facing the Sandy Hook Bay in the historic Fort Hancock section of Sandy Hook. The Laboratory campus consisted of a three-story building that was previously used by the Army as a hospital and three adjoining structures. In the photograph mid-ground, Building 74, which would become the administrative headquarters of the new Laboratory after the destruction of the original buildings by arson in 1985, can be seen.
