Description
Aboard a Laboratory research vessel, Gene Geer of the American Littoral Society (ALS) holds a large lobster retrieved from a dive. Artificial reefs created valuable sheltering habitat for lobsters, and in particular, juvenile lobsters. Divers and staff of the ALS, which Dr. Lionel A. Walford helped establish, worked closely with Laboratory staff during the 1960’s and 1970’s.
